While going to college, Jared was enrolled in an “Entrepreneurship” course. One of his assignments was to start a business with $1 or whatever resources he possessed at that time. Because we are big fans of food, our most plentiful resource was … well … good food.

Needless to say I was worried when he came home from class and said, “How would you feel about baking a LOT of food?” Several hours of hot stoves and early-evening deliveries later, we had most of our church congregation and several nearby college students hooked.

Now that we’re done with college and have a few kids, we use Gimme Goodies to fund Christmas and keep our house smelling like cheesecakes and tamales during the holidays!
